Fast rising actor and host of popular music reality show, Joseph Benjamin on the programme 'My Nigerian Story' revealed that things were so bad for him at a point that he did all sorts of jobs just to survive.
According to him: "When I first came to the city, I came with a nylon carrier bag which contained a pair of trousers, a shirt and a pair of shoe which had city miles to its name."
"I was just sitting at home doing nothing, music from my neighbours from the other buildings will always me up. I made friends with some guys in the neighbourhood and so I made a decision to work as a bus conductor."
"Later, I got a job at a bakery and I quickly picked it up because it came with an accomodation as one of the perks, and that was a big deal to me then."
"I have seen it all, the road has been bad and beautiful, this is me Joseph Benjamin, this is my Nigerian story."
Wow! Who would have thought Joseph once worked as a bus conductor? Now this is motivation to someone out there, if Joseph can do it, you too can. And I have my Nigerian story too, but that is a matter for another day.
