Lupita who turned 31 on Saturday 1st March 2014, glided down the red carpet at the 2014 Academy Awards (Oscars) in a custom dress by Prada.
Her date for the night were her mom and brother.
We really wished she picked pink or gold but this powder blue is a beautiful delight. She told Ryan Seacreston the red carpet that the dress is a homage to her hometown Kenya.
The sleeveless silk dress with a plunging V neckline, and a flowing skirt with crystal beading, was styled with a stylish head band, diamond earrings, a diamond cocktail ring, gold bracelets and Prada platforms.
In the beauty department, she opted for a light blush and pink lipstick.
Prior to the event, Lupita said she tried over 100 dresses for the big day. She set the tone high, do you think this was a let down or simply prefect?
