Square Up To Challenges! Pastor Anita
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). The verse above clearly lets us know that God has given to us, His children, the Spirit of power. This means you’ve received inherent ability to cause changes. Therefore, be courageous at all times; square up to challenges and refuse to cower. Consider, for example, the account of the Israelites when they were between the Egyptian army and the Red Sea. God insisted that they moved forward, which shows that for the Christian, there’s no such thing as retreat or surrender! You’re to keep pressing towards the mark: "...for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ" (Philippians 3:14). You’re only permitted to go upward and forward, irrespective of the challenges that you face. Also, consider the experience of Shedrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the Book of Daniel 3:12- 30. They were cast headlong into the fiery furnace, but were undaunted; they squared up to the challenge and their faith prevailed. Click to see more
This is the mentality you must have at all times. You’re more than a conqueror; nothing can put you down! You’ve been thoroughly fashioned and fortified by the Spirit to face anything and come out victorious. The Scriptures declare, "If you go through fire, it wouldn’t hurt you! If you go through water, you won’t drown" (Isaiah 43:2). Therefore, go forth and win, for nothing can stop you. Take the shield of faith and go forth in victory. Refuse to be weak in faith; build your faith strong with the Word, because the evil day will come (Ephesians 6:13). Refuse to recognize any limitation because no limitation is real. You’ve been given the "Spirit of power"; this means you’ve been given authority to execute the judgment of God in any situation. Therefore, face challenges and win. Refuse to be a weakling; exercise dominion, for you can do all things through Christ, who strengthens you. Confession I’m anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power to do the miraculous! I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me; and according to the effectual working of His might in me, I prevail against every adversity today, in the Name of Jesus. f u r t h e r s t u d y: Philippians 4:13; Romans 8:35-37 Daily Scripture Reading 1 Year Reading Plan : Deuteronomy 33-34 Luke 7:1-35 2 Year Reading Plan : Matthew 26:14-25 Exodus 36
